This relates to the unit we have started because we are studying cells and DNA. In the process of cloning a dog, they use cells, eggs and DNA. Those things in our new unit. This article is important because cloning animals can protect certain species from going extinct. The reason I chose this article was because it caught my eye while I was scrolling through some of the choices I had. I thought it was a very interesting topic. I knew it would be reliable because it was published by Discovery, which is a big company that has it’s own channel. I learned a lot through this article, and not just science related. I thought cloning was just science fiction, but it isn’t any more, showing me that we are capable of doing great things.

Dog Cloning
Have you ever wondered if there was another you or another person just like your friends or pets? You probably have. The thing is, chances are you will not meet another you. Until now. Well, only for your pet. At Sooam Biotech Research, they are cloning dogs for just a little less than 100,000 dollars. I think this is crazy cool. With this technology, we could clone a mammoth. Imagine that! A huge woolly mammoth that you could see at a zoo like in Jurassic Park! The dogs are cloned by inserting DNA into a egg that has no nucleus. Then the egg is put into a dog of the same breed.
